HOW TO PREPARE BEANS AND CORN DISH

Beans replaces worn out tissues and cells of the body but also strengthens the body components and vital organs.
Beans and corn is also called “adalu” in the western part of Nigeria but it is a dish that is a favorite mynigerian recipe amongst Nigerians. Quantity depends on the number of people the dish is meant for and it is easy and simple to prepare and involves the following steps:

INGREDIENTS:
o Beans white or the brown variety – 2 milk cups
o Ground crayfish – half cup
o 1 big onion diced up or blended according to individual choice
o Pepper either dry or chili that is blended but the chili gives the dish a tasty aroma and nice flavor when compared to the dry pepper. In this case we use 4 chili peppers washed and blended.
o Smoked fish – 1 big one for 2 small ones
o Maggi any type depending on individual choice but for this dish, we use knorr cube – double variety
o Salt to taste
o Fresh corn from the field or market that is deshelled and the corn removed from the cob or husk
o 2 soup spoonful of palm oil

Note: At the start of the cooking precisely when the beans has cooked for some time, add the sugar either 2 or 3 tablespoon again depending on the number of people you are cooking for and preparing the dish, but thats only for those who like adding sugar to make it sweeter..

PREPARATION:
o Measure out your beans and remove dirt and sand, wash and set aside
o Wash the corn and remove any particle and set aside
o Set a clean pot or sauce pan with water on heat, allow to boil and pour in the beans and allow to cook periodically checking the level of the water for about 20 minutes so that it doesn’t become too soft
o Add the corn to the dish and mix gently with a spatula or a wooden spoon to prevent the food from burning.
o Cook until the corn becomes slightly soft.
o Add the rest of the ingredients but do not stir or else the food will burn.
o Cook for another 20 minutes or more for the whole dish to blend
Remove from heat
o Bring the pot down and stir gently to properly mix the whole food together and serve immediately.

It can be eaten by itself with a nice chilled drink for lunch or again it can make a very good light supper with a glass of warm milk to prepare you for a peaceful night sleep Lawn care business
